Sasha Bears
M.Arch.
Sasha joined Montgomery Sisam in 2019 following the completion of his Masters in Architecture at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. His previous experience as a designer has included a wide range of projects, from small-scale office interiors and hospitality spaces to multi-unit residential buildings and large-scale recreational facilities.
Sasha’s attention to detail and varied professional background have enabled him to contribute effectively to such projects as the Downtown Barrie Retirement Residence and Runnymede Long Term Care. Highly adept in critical analysis and creative problem-solving, he works diligently to advance design solutions for these and other projects in new and inventive ways.
Sasha’s Master’s Thesis challenged the boundaries between public and private spaces, exploring new hybridizations of public pools and community housing for the benefit of underserved urban communities in the future. He firmly believes architecture is a profoundly social practice capable of affecting change and shaping our common future. It is this belief that informs Sasha’s work in the office, both his collaborative ethos and his commitment to projects of social value, and makes him a strong complement to our team.
