Mike Yang

B.Arch.

Mike joined Montgomery Sisam in 2018 with more than 20 years’ professional experience and knowledge of many building types, having completed projects in the commercial, residential, institutional and hospitality sectors.

He has since assumed a central role on the City of Toronto Long Term Care Homes and Services Maintenance Projects team, the ongoing modernization of all 10 City of Toronto residential long-term care facilities. He draws on strong organization and communication skills and a proficiency using a wide range of software applications to help develop and communicate information from the earliest stages of a design through approvals and construction. And he is committed to ensuring design packages are delivered on time and of high quality.

Over the course of his career, Mike has developed a keen ability to find the right balance between form and function, focusing on practical solutions that respond to human sensibilities. He draws inspiration from Wright’s concept of Organic Architecture and believes the co-dependence of nature, the built environment and human life is foundational to a rich, sustainable ecosystem.
