Director and Principal Daniel Ling participated in DesignTO Festival’s Ideas Forum: Confronting the Housing Crisis. Organized in partnership with the Toronto Society for Architects, the virtual talk hosted five pecha kucha presentations that together explore housing equity, modular housing solutions, rent-then-own models, and community support services.
Daniel presented Montgomery Sisam’s extensive work with modular supportive housing, including projects for the City of Toronto, the Region of Durham, as well as a Passive House modular housing project for the City of Hamilton. The short presentation illustrates the firm’s experience leveraging the prefabrication process to rapidly deliver quality supportive housing, while maintaining design integrity.
