Arezoo joined Montgomery Sisam in 2021 as a Senior Architect with nearly 20 years of professional experience, bringing with her a wealth of expertise in designing for health and wellness. Over her extensive career, she has been involved in a multitude of projects across various sectors, including post-secondary buildings, seniors housing projects, long-term care homes, mixed-use high-rise residential towers, and retail.
Arezoo is passionate about developing a better living environment for older adults, particularly those with specific needs. Her areas of focus include long-term care homes, retirement homes, seniors housing, memory care, and assisted living. She also regularly presents her research and experience at conferences across the continent, where she focuses on soundscape design, particularly for people with dementia.
At Montgomery Sisam, Arezoo is contributing her extensive knowledge of seniors housing to the Amica Bayview, Amica Balmoral, and Sienna North Bay senior living and long-term care projects. As Senior Architect, she contributes to all phases of each project from design through to construction offering her experience and insight to the design and technical detailing of the building.
Arezoo is a registered architect with the OAA, a Member of the RAIC, and is NCARB certified. She is also a member of the Acoustical Society of America and sits on the OAA Communication Committee. As well, Arezoo is a Sessional Instructor in Graduate Studies at OCAD University in the Master of Design for Health and Master of Inclusive Design programs, and her research on soundscape design has been featured in numerous publications across the country.
