Sonja Storey-Fleming is a licensed architect and Associate at Montgomery Sisam Architects, bringing extensive local and international experience across institutional, cultural, residential, and community-focused projects.

Since joining the firm in 2020, Sonja has managed several notable projects, including pioneering and award-winning work in prefabrication and assembly. She is known for her diligence, strategic insight, and thoughtful, systems-oriented thinking in design and project delivery. Sonja excels at identifying issues early, navigating constraints, and developing clear, balanced solutions that align with project goals and performance expectations. Her ability to maintain strong client relationships, even under demanding conditions, has helped strengthen trust and support continuing collaborations for the firm.

Sonja has a deep interest in building science and high-performance enclosure design. She actively expands her technical expertise through ongoing professional development and industry-led training. Her early experience working in construction, combined with her past and present involvement in construction administration, gives her with a unique perspective that bridges the practical realities of construction with the aspirations of architectural design.
