Nivin Nabeel

Nivin joined Montgomery Sisam in 2020 as our BIM Manager. She has a background in architecture, visual arts and computer science and has studied around the world in digital design, digital fabrication and methods of construction. She brings to our practice a wealth of experience in building information modeling using data management and data manipulation.

Nivin’s work sits at the intersection of design and technology. Digital design examines holistic workflows in areas of Building Information Modelling, visualization, computational design and performance design. Nivin develops and implements new tools to optimize these workflows. She is also highly proficient in BIM model management, BIM360 hub management, BIM coordination, developing and implementing BIM standards and workflows on large and complex projects, applying BIM workflows to ancillary project components like signage and wayfinding for improved efficiency.

In her role at Montgomery Sisam, Nivin is working with project teams across many sectors to implement a BIM Execution Plan, streamline production processes, apply modelling best-practices, optimize the use of modelling data, and troubleshoot complex digital design issues. She also conducts BIM kick off meetings and follows up with training for staff and consultants on modelling requirements. And she regularly transitions Revit models into BIM360 for external collaboration. Nivin is particularly adept at detecting patterns across multiple problems and developing parametric solutions that resolve these issues simultaneously. She is also learned in PowerBi, extracting raw information from a Revit model into this application to assess and track its performance over time.
