Mitchell Cairns-Spicer

Mitchell Cairns-Spicer joined Montgomery Sisam in 2020 following the completion of his Master of Architecture from Toronto Metropolitan University.
Mitchell enjoys learning new skills and thrives on tackling new challenges in work. With this, he has contributed to several office initiatives, including University of Toronto Dentistry School Master Plan, the Runnymede Long-term Care project, and Extendicare Sudbury Long-term Care. His principal project has been Extendicare Stittsville Long-term Care for which he has completed a wide range of tasks, from creating presentation renderings to conducting BIM coordination and creating 3D casework and millwork to accelerate interior detailing. Mitchell is also producing a library of customizable 3D assets for future projects.
Mitchell has many passions in architecture outside of practice. He is an advocate for sustainable design that makes users aware of and accountable for their built environment. He also takes a keen interest in restoration and has enjoyed taking on complex extra curricular projects like the digital reconstruction of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Banff Pavilion.
