Laura Casas


Laura joined Montgomery Sisam in 2022 with more than 20 years industry experience accumulated across both Toronto and Madrid. She has worked as a designer, project manager and space planning consultant in all project phases, from conceptual design through contract administration. Her body of work includes many different building typologies, including residential, institutional and commercial projects. She has a particular affinity for developing learning spaces, finding opportunities in design to support a wide range of learners in an evolving academic landscape.

Laura excels in a leadership capacity, able to communicate, anticipate and respond proactively to project needs and demands. Her commitment to her projects and project teams is admirable. Since joining Montgomery Sisam, she has taken a major role on the Amica Islington Village project, managing both internal and external team members and coordinating their different deliverables. She brings to every design problem a holistic view and strategic thinking drawn from her diverse background.

Laura is deeply interested in the concept of sustainability and its social, economic and environmental implications. She continually seeks out ways to understand and contribute to excellence in each of these areas.
