Jeff Kwong
B.Arch.Sc.
Jeff joined Montgomery Sisam in 2021 with six years’ industry experience, working with an established Toronto practice. He assumed many roles in his tenure there, contributing to all phases of project development. His particular focus was in contract documents and contract administration, handling the mass flow of information to and from the contractor and helping resolve complex issues that arise during construction. His portfolio includes a wide range of institutional projects, including several community and child care centers, recreation and wellness facilities, and post-secondary student building addition and renovation.
Jeff understands the intricacies of project management and has worked to hone his proficiency in consultant coordination and clash-detection to ensure the smoothest possible delivery. He contributes this expertise to his work with Montgomery Sisam on a series of long-term care projects for Arch Corp. His strong organization skills and keen attention to detail ensure, among other things, consultants are on course and optimal results are achieved with minimal interferences.
Jeff takes a keen interest in adaptive reuse of existing structures to accommodate new uses and the idea of architecture as a driver for social, economic and or environmental regeneration. He is also impassioned by the idea of design for home, appealing to even the most vulnerable person’s needs and sensibilities on different levels.
In compliment with his work in architecture, Jeff was involved in Toronto’s Everyone is King Competition, helping develop and fabricate one among many art installations to improve the city’s urban condition.
