Donna Dolan

B.Arch., FRAIC, IDC, ARIDO, LEED AP

Donna joined Montgomery Sisam in 2021 with more than 30 years of professional experience in architecture and interior design. Donna has long been a friend to our office, having worked alongside our Principals and Directors in this industry for three decades now. She has served in a leadership capacity for many years, contributing to many areas of professional practice.

Donna’s impressive and award-winning body of work is largely concentrated in higher-education. These projects vary in both scope and scale, with many focusing on the adaptive reuse of space to inform new uses without the prohibitive costs of new infrastructure. She is accomplished in all phases of project development, with particular expertise working with user groups from the early stages of program development through implementation.

At Montgomery Sisam, Donna has assumed a major role in our modular housing projects, assisting in the fast-tracked development and delivery of this pioneering group of buildings. Donna believes in our responsibility as a profession to reduce the impacts of what we design today for the health and wellness of future generations. She is a LEED Accredited Professional who has collaborated on numerous LEED projects. Her recent focus is on the merits of Passive House and applying its principles to achieve massive reductions in energy consumption.

Donna is a Member of the Interior Designers of Canada and Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario. She also holds a Fellowship with the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
