Baidar joined Montgomery Sisam in 2019 as an intern architect skilled in critical design and construction competencies such as drafting, design, space planning, 3D modelling, BIM, rendering and building code analysis. His work experience in Bahrain and Canada includes designing retail and commercial developments, as well as a diverse range of housing projects from custom homes and low-rise multi-family dwellings to a mid-rise student residence.
Leveraging his extensive knowledge of different building typologies, technical facility and strong communication skills, Baidar has deftly contributed to complex projects such as the preliminary design work and municipal planning submission for a private Mixed-Use Student Housing project at 315 Spadina and the Create TO Mixed-Use Housing Now Development at 777 Victoria Park Avenue. He has also assisted with the design development and contract documents phases for a number of the City of Toronto’s Long-Term Care Homes and Services Capital Maintenance projects, as well as the tendering process for the additional classroom renovation scope at the York School Senior Campus.
In keeping with his work, Baidar is deeply invested in analyzing and understanding the impact of architectural design on quality of life and living in rapidly growing urban environments like Toronto.
