Montgomery Sisam is excited to announce that West Park Healthcare Centre in Toronto has achieved a significant sustainability milestone, earning LEED Silver Certification. This achievement marks a major step forward in creating a more sustainable healthcare environment, benefiting both the patients and staff.
In collaboration with EllisDon, the redevelopment project involved constructing a new state-of-the-art hospital while demolishing an outdated existing building. The result is a modernized healthcare facility dedicated to providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, with a specialized focus on rehabilitative and complex continuing care and long-term care.
LEED certification is a globally recognized standard for sustainable construction. Achieving this status demonstrates our commitment to reducing the building’s environmental impact while also promoting and prioritizing the health and well-being of the hospital’s occupants. The West Park Healthcare Centre’s new building earned LEED Silver due to its innovative design features that prioritize sustainability across multiple areas, including energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor air quality, and locally sourced materials.
