Montgomery Sisam together with local architects Lydon Lynch have been awarded the new Ronald McDonald House project in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Ronald McDonald House plays an exceptionally important role in the Atlantic care community, serving families who travel to Halifax to seek specialized medical care at the IWK Health Centre for their seriously ill children.
With growing accommodation and program needs, Ronald McDonald House Atlantic is in need of an expanded facility, one that can respond to the trend towards longer treatment periods. The new home will increase the number of family rooms from 18 to 35, introduce four larger long-term stay suites, and include a number of shared living and specialized program spaces.
Our team is deeply excited by this project and look forward to kick-off. Designing the new Ronald McDonald Atlantic is a wonderful opportunity to engage and build relationships with inspiring people, and flex our design muscles in unique ways that will truly make a difference in their lives.
