We are excited to mark the start of construction at 35 Bellevue Ave. The building will provide the community with 78 new, deeply affordable and supportive homes. Montgomery Sisam, Gillam Group and our design team have been working closely with the City of Toronto, Kensington Market Land Trust and St. Clare’s to realize the community vision for this site.
We believe that thoughtful, highly contextual additions to the urban fabric, such as 35 Bellevue, demonstrate that the coexistence of all types of housing is beneficial and achievable in our community.
Inspired by the City’s ambitious sustainable mandate, the building will be constructed in mass timber and is designed to exceed Tier 2 of the Toronto Green Standard v.4 and achieve the City’s TransformTO Net Zero Strategy goal.
