We are excited to share that planning and design for the new and expanded Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent (CTC-CK) is well underway.
Montgomery Sisam have been working closely with the CTC-CK Building Committee to make sure that the voices of families, youth, Family Advisory Council, clinicians, and staff have been heard. We want this building to better serve their needs.
The new facility will provide support services like occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech-language pathology services and autism services making it easily accessible for children with special needs in the Chatham-Kent area.
The building scheme responds to the latest evidence base in children’s treatment and health facility design, supporting, among other things, telemedicine and a hybrid workforce, a collaborative care culture, simulation and other forms of skill building, sensory modulation and multi-sensory environments, healing arts programmes and integrated building installations, access to nature and high-quality outdoor spaces, community integration and outreach.
