We are excited to announce the ground-breaking of the new CHEO Integrated Treatment Centre (1Door4Care). This new 6-storey, 200,000 square-foot building is expected to serve more than 40,000 families a year whose children require medical, developmental, behavioral, and mental health services.
Located in Ottawa, the building’s design is inspired by the land in which it sits. The design incorporates nature and Indigenous inspired elements with beautiful, landscaped spaces and numerous therapy and play terraces. It will include multi-use clinical spaces, a physiotherapy rehab gym, expanded mental health clinics, indoor-outdoor multi-use spaces, space for children and youth, state-of-the art treatment rooms, advanced technology to enable virtual care, and family support and community spaces. The building will also feature a school and pre-school for children receiving treatment. It will be connected to the main hospital via a link, making it convenient for both the caregivers and patients.
Our team at Montgomery SIsam is proud to be part of this exciting new project – working alongside EllisDon. Substantial completion is expected in Fall 2027.
