Montgomery Sisam to lead a team that will create planning and design guidelines for Violence Against Women Shelters

Violence Against Women Shelters provide women and their children who are fleeing violence with safe, secure accommodation. These Shelters offer short-term residential and outreach services to women in communities of cultural diversity including Francophone, Aboriginal and other multi-cultural populations.  They also provide counselling services and other support services to help women identify options available to them in order to establish new lives without abuse.

Working closely with the Ministry of Youth and Social Services, Montgomery Sisam, Paula Bowley and Agnew Peckham will create guidelines that support the Ministry’s vision of providing safe and secure Shelters that are functional, environmentally friendly, efficient, cost effective and imbued with the qualities of home.
