The Credit Valley Conservation Authority Head Office building is now LEED Gold Certified.

The recently certified LEED Gold addition will provide day lit work space for 200 employees as well as a new lab for water purity monitoring.

The design employs many innovative strategies in order to achieve the Credit Valley Conservation Authority’s sustainable goals including:

  •  A Variable Refrigerant Volume cooling system, one of the first installed in Ontario
  •  An in-floor radiant hot water heating system
  • A low-velocity ventilation system with full heat recovery
  •  A white, reflective TPO membrane roof
  • A fully permeable, paved parking lot for staff and visitors.
  • Bio-swales planted with native plants and grass species for storm water management
  • All building storm water is captured for use in building toilets and urinals

Our team’s sustainable design strategies allow for a 67% energy cost savings and 63% energy savings compared to Model National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings.
