Come visit us at the 2014 World Congress for Design & Health!

From Wednesday, July 9 to Sunday, July 13, 2014, several members of our firm will be attending and presenting at the 10th World Congress for Design & Health.  Hosted at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto, the conference features an exciting line-up of international speakers.

Principal David Sisam will be presenting his paper on the significance of “the places between” – and how they play a major role in shaping the quality of our experience.  As well, Principal Alice Liang will be chairing a panel that focuses on the integration of mental health facilities into neighbourhoods, and the various challenges and opportunities that are encountered when (re)shaping a community.  The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto is a prime example of this approach.

While at the conference please visit us in the Exhibition Hall at Booth #39.  Here you can meet our staff and learn more about our practice.  Also featured in the Exhibition Hall is a poster presented by Principals Ed Applebaum and Terry Montgomery, entitled “Places to Learn, to Heal and to Grow,” which examines the design of integrated and varied settings for specialized children’s facilities.

We look forward to seeing you there!
